Stick insect portraits – Crawley and Austin

Crawley is a baby Indian Stick Insect, and is about 4 weeks old.    Austin is training him to like being picked up by giving him food.  Indian Stick insects grow to about 8cm long and have been kept and bred in captivity for decades.  They eat common garden leaves such as privet and bramble.
